Francisco Dias Lourenco is a seasoned leader in life sciences and diagnostics with over 20 years of experience delivering innovative medical and consumer diagnostic products to market. He has led cross-functional teams in the development of more than 15 in-vitro diagnostic products, integrating complex biological, chemical, and engineering systems. His expertise spans product development, systems engineering, and operations, with a proven track record of success in both startup and established corporate environments.
Francisco has held executive leadership roles across companies including Cepheid, Nima Labs, Hound Labs, and Chronus Health. Notable accomplishments include launching Cepheid’s high- throughput Infinity platform, leading the automated air-sampling and DNA analysis technology used by the United States Postal Service (USPS) to detect airborne anthrax spores in the mailstream, and bringing to market the world’s first consumer allergen detector at Nima Labs. His leadership consistently drives technical innovation, operational excellence, and scalable commercialization strategies.
Francisco has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the California Institute of Technology.
