Research Associate

About the position

SafeTraces is looking for a research associate responsible for performing tasks in the life sciences laboratory per standard operating protocols. The fast-moving nature of the work requires excellent attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task and work independently and be flexible with tasks and schedules.

What you’ll be doing

  • Make qPCR master mix for qPCR applications
  • Pipette qPCR master mix onto 96-well PCR plates
  • Load and run qPCR instruments
  • Collect and analyze qPCR data
  • Work with research team to support day-to-day workflow
  • Follow standard operating procedures
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Laboratory works include pipetting, aliquoting reagents, operating laboratory equipment, participating in routine lab maintenance and safety
  • Troubleshoot experiments
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years, or M.S. with 1+ years, of relevant experience in molecular biology biochemistry or related field
  • Hands-on experience in qPCR or PCR in general
  • Proficiency with molecular biology wet lab techniques, such as DNA/ RNA purification, DNA quantification, other molecular biology techniques or nucleic acid technologies
  • Ability to work independently and perform routine tasks
  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused with the ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Ability to recognize and resolve basic problems encountered in experimental procedure
  • Experience with Excel, Google apps
Front-end Software Engineer

About the position

SafeTraces is looking for a front-end software developer responsible for creating an outstanding user experience for one of our web applications. The fast-moving nature of the work requires excellent attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication skills, the ability to multi-task and work independently and be flexible with tasks and schedules.

What you’ll be doing

  • Collaborate with product managers to build a world-class user experience
  • Develop custom, reusable React components for use in interactive online content
  • Build scalable, accessible desktop and mobile apps that are cross-browser compatible
  • Work with designers to develop dynamic user experiences
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Engineer the front-end architecture that powers our web application
  • Tackle tough design challenges to create reusable user interfaces using clean, scalable code

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years work experience in developing web applications
  • Professional experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably with React/ Redux
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript (ES6) syntax and CSS concepts
  • Knowledge with cross-browser, cross-platform, and design constraints on the Web
  • Familiarity with unit and end-to-end testing for JS/React
  • Experience with visualization tools (d3, raphael.js) and Node.js is preferred
  • Experience working in software development cycle and associated tools, such as Git, Jira
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
Director of Sales

About the position

SafeTraces is looking for a Director of Sales for the veriDART solution, the first and only airborne pathogen indicator that enables Facilities and EHS teams to plan for safe (re-) occupancy of shared spaces, including commercial real estate, hospitals, entertainment facilities, and food processing operations. The position is responsible for sourcing and closing deals. The rapidly evolving space of this highly technical solution and its underlying science require the ability to go after emerging markets quickly and to adjust positioning accordingly.

What you’ll be doing

  • Build and own sales
  • Develop leads using an effective needs analysis approach tailored to specific markets
  • Proactively research, ask, listen and clarify data to gain insights into industry trends
  • Track progress in the funnel
  • Project revenue
  • Collaborate pre-sales with the technical teams to ensure the solution meets the customer needs
  •  Collaborate post-sales with internal teams to ensure successful delivery

What we’re looking for

  • Proven track record (5+ years) of progressive experience selling products and solutions in the safety and industrial hygiene equipment and solutions space
  • Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Medical Device & Equipment and/ or Laboratory Services experience required
  • Experience selling to multiple level of buying influences within organizations preferred
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information to a range of audiences
  • Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude with an ability to prioritize and problem-solve
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
